Home Safety Evaluations

Home Safety Evaluations focus on the place where most falls happen: right inside the home. We walk through your rooms together, looking at flooring, throw rugs, furniture placement, stairs, lighting, and bathroom setup. As rehab clinicians, we notice small details that families often overlook, like how high a favorite chair sits or where a grab bar would make transfers much easier.

You receive concrete, budget‑friendly suggestions, not a long list of expensive renovations. That might mean rearranging pathways, adding non‑slip mats, adjusting lighting, or recommending simple equipment such as grab bars or a sturdier shower seat. When needed, we can also layer in specialized assessments, like bathroom safety reviews or lighting and accessibility checks.

The result is a home that works with you, not against you, so you can move more confidently, reduce trip hazards, and feel safer staying where you are most comfortable.
